Just within the last week or so, Landry has gone from
observing to
imitating...everything. These are only the ones I caught on camera as I've been too slow to catch the rest. Landry adores Jeff and wants to help him do everything. We've been setting up Landry's "big boy room" which used to be the spare bedroom. Jeff needed to hang some things without Landry trying to climb on the ladder, so we closed the door.
First, a polite knock, "Daddy...can I come back in?"...
Then a yell, "I said I want to come in and help!" (Note Jeff's fingers coming from the other side of the door - they were meant to calm, but angered more).
Vacuuming under the couch....
Putting together some furniture: First, Landry merely observed Jeff tightening the screws...then wanted to do it himself....
We were amazed how he knew exactly where to put the screwdriver and found all the other screws. Of course, he couldn't just tighten one of the screws, he had to do all of them.
But work needed to continue, and I remembered we had these plastic tools that I kept thinking he was too young for....I was wrong, and Jeff got to complete the project.
G-Paw keeps saying he can't wait until Landry is big enough to help him at the lake...he may get his wish sooner than he thought :)
